Who we are

Golden Hour Golf ("we", "us") is an independent iOS application built and operated by a single developer. Contact: support@goldenhour.golf.

What we collect

We collect the following data, and only the following data:

Account identifiers

• The Apple user identifier returned by Sign in with Apple. This is a stable, app-scoped identifier that lets us associate your data with your account across devices.
• Your email address, only if Apple shares it with us when you sign in. Apple may relay this through a private relay address; we cannot see your real email in that case.
• Your name, only if you choose to share it via Apple's sign-in flow.

Putting data you create in the app

• Logged putts: distance, stimp, slope, grain, break direction, calculated speed, calculated backstroke length, made/missed result, miss direction, optional notes.
• Stimp calibrations: the data points you enter and the fitted stimp value, with timestamps.
• Stroke calibrations: the stroke time and smash factor snapshot, with timestamps.
• Drill results: per-drill data such as Snowman safe-zone distances at clock positions.

Optional profile data

You may choose to enter, but are never required to:

• Handicap index
• GHIN number
• Age bucket
• Home club
• Putter make / model
• Smash factor

What we do not collect

• No location data, ever.
• No photos or camera access.
• No HealthKit data.
• No advertising identifiers; no third-party advertising.
• No third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
• No contacts, calendar, or any other on-device personal data.
• No cross-app or cross-website tracking.

How we store it

• Data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on a virtual machine that we operate ourselves. The database is not shared with any other application or company.
• All transit between the iOS app and our servers is encrypted via HTTPS, terminated at Cloudflare's edge.
• The database server is not directly exposed to the public internet; access is mediated by Cloudflare Tunnel.
• We take a daily encrypted database snapshot for disaster recovery, retained for 14 days.

Who we share it with

No one. We do not sell, rent, license, or otherwise share your data with third parties. There are no advertisers, no analytics vendors, and no marketing partners involved in the operation of Golden Hour Golf.

The only third-party services that touch your data in transit are Apple (for Sign in with Apple identity tokens) and Cloudflare (for HTTPS termination and DDoS protection at the network edge). Neither has access to the contents of your account.

Your rights

• View and edit your profile at any time in the Settings tab of the app.
• Delete your account at any time from Settings › Account. Deletion is immediate and cascades through every table that references your account: putts, rounds, calibrations, drill results, alpha fits, and any other future personal data. Deletion is permanent and not recoverable.
• Export your data: planned for a future release. If you need an export before then, email support@goldenhour.golf and we'll provide a JSON export within 14 days.

Children's privacy

Golden Hour Golf is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us at support@goldenhour.golf and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and note material changes in the app's release notes. Continued use of the app after a change constitutes acceptance.
