Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Golden Hour Golf application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of service

Golden Hour Golf is an iOS application that calculates target putt speeds, recommends backstroke lengths, and stores user-entered putting data, calibrations, and drill results. It is provided as-is for personal, non-commercial use.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

4. Account

Account creation uses Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining control of the Apple ID associated with your account. We are not responsible for losses resulting from unauthorized access to your Apple ID.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service except to the extent permitted by applicable law.
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's operation, including denial-of-service attacks, scraping, or unauthorized access to backend systems.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service without prior written permission.

6. User-generated content

The data you create in the Service (logged putts, calibrations, drill results, profile information) remains yours. You grant us a limited license to store and process this data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose outside operating the Service for you.

7. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

8. Intellectual property

The Service, including its name, branding, application code, and visual design, is the property of Golden Hour Golf and is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.

The Service produces calculated recommendations based on physics models and user-entered inputs. Putting outcomes depend on stroke execution, green conditions, and many factors outside the model. We make no warranty that following the Service's recommendations will improve your putting or your scores.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, GOLDEN HOUR GOLF SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (a) THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE PRIOR TWELVE MONTHS, OR (b) FIVE U.S. DOLLARS.

11. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time from Settings › Account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes and reflected in the effective date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of these terms shall be resolved in the courts of [JURISDICTION].
